Dear Dreamer,

Would that I had all the words to summate my love for you.

I pin up the stars to map your route,

I polish the Moon to guide you home -

She sings like a siren, despite any worldly distraction.

Clouds and cobwebs obscure your sight,

so I send gentle breezes to jostle them loose.

Kind Stardust, Light of the Universe,

I know that life on Earth has been cruel.

I send you visions,

not to harm or punish,

But to offer clarity and meaning when you finally reach my shores.

Oh how I regret that you've come to fear me,

resent and scorn me.

It's not out of spite that I show you the full range of experiences living can evoke -

Pain, pleasure and the spaces between -

Not from hatred do I show you truths,

but out of love and trust 

that within you are the tools to solve each problem, come to integrate each lesson into your growing wealth of knowledge,

and go forth stronger because of each memory made.

Sweet firefly, Precious Comet,

How I adore thee.

While I may be elusive 

and tricky to grasp for long,

I beckon, 

eager to witness how you navigate all I lay before you.

Powerful, but meek and disbelieving,

often forced to be brave and resourceful,

kind and wise.

While others may be quick to disapprove,

or judge too harshly,

You persist on your path and I cherish the sight.

Don't be a stranger, 

you deserve a rest.
